Wall & Floor Tiling Brisbane

Tiling Services Brisbane — Set Out To A Drawing, Not A Guess.

Every room gets a set-out before the first tile is buttered — so cuts land where you'd want them, grout lines run through doorways, and nothing awkward ends up beside the vanity.

Professional Tiling — The Difference Is Everything You Never See.

Tiling is the finish everyone judges and the trade where preparation decides the outcome. A floor that isn't level, a substrate that still moves, a membrane rushed before it cured — none of that is visible on handover day. All of it shows up as a drummy tile or a cracked grout line eighteen months later.

From our base in Coopers Plains we tile bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, living areas, balconies and pool surrounds across Brisbane and Logan. Substrate checked and corrected first, full adhesive coverage behind every tile, and a set-out drawn for your room before anything goes down.

Tiled

A drummy tile is not a tiling fault, it's a preparation fault. Tiles fail from underneath — a substrate that flexes, adhesive spotted on in five dabs instead of notched across the full bed, movement joints left out of a long run, or a floor tiled before the screed had properly cured. Every one of those is invisible on the day and unfixable without lifting the lot.

So we spend the time before the tiles arrive: checking deflection, correcting falls, priming, and setting out the room so full tiles land where the eye goes. Below is what every tiling job of ours includes as standard — not as extras, but as the baseline.

01

Substrate Preparation

Deflection checked, sheeting replaced where needed, falls corrected and every surface primed before a single tile is laid.

02

Waterproofing

Two-coat certified membrane to AS 3740 in every wet area, photographed at each stage, with the compliance certificate handed over.

03

Set-Out & Laying

A set-out drawn for your room, full notched adhesive coverage, and levelling clips on large-format so no edge sits proud.

04

Grout & Silicone

Colour-matched grout, movement joints where the standard requires them, and silicone lines cut straight at every internal corner.

Three jobs, three very different tiles.

How It Works

Four Steps From
First Call To Handover

01

Measure & Assess

We measure the areas, check the substrate for movement and moisture, and confirm square metres. No cost, no obligation.

02

Set-Out & Fixed Quote

We draw the set-out, agree tile, grout and trim selections, and give you one fixed price per square metre with nothing hidden.

03

Prep & Waterproof

Substrate corrected and primed, falls set to the waste, then a certified two-coat membrane left to cure properly.

04

Lay, Grout & Clean

Tiles laid to the set-out, grouted and siliconed, then the whole area cleaned down and walked with you before handover.

Everything homeowners ask us before booking a tiling job.

Labour typically runs $65–$110 per square metre depending on tile size, layout complexity and how much preparation the substrate needs. Large-format and natural stone sit at the higher end because they are heavier, less forgiving and slower to lay. Waterproofing and tiles are quoted separately so you can see exactly what you're paying for.

Sometimes, on walls, if the existing tiles are sound, well bonded and the extra thickness won't foul door frames or fixtures. On floors we almost always recommend removing them — you cannot verify the waterproofing underneath, and the added height creates problems at every threshold. We'll tell you honestly which applies to your job.

Light foot traffic after about 24 hours, and normal use once the grout has cured — usually another 24 to 48 hours. Wet areas need longer before the shower is used. Rushing this is the fastest way to shift a tile that had set perfectly well.

Either. Many clients choose their own and we lay them; others prefer us to handle supply through our suppliers, which often works out similar on price and puts responsibility for shortfalls on us. Whichever way, order 10–15% extra for cuts, breakages and future repairs from the same batch.

Almost always poor adhesive coverage or a substrate that moves. If adhesive is dabbed on in spots rather than notched across the full bed, the unsupported areas sound drummy and eventually crack under load. Missing movement joints in long runs do the same. Both are preparation choices, not bad luck.

Yes — and we'd rather do both. When one team waterproofs and another tiles, problems fall in the gap between them. Our membrane is applied by a licensed applicator to AS 3740, photographed at each coat, and you receive the compliance certificate on completion.
